Manatee Tour in San San Pond Sak Wetland

Description

The best way to see these incredible animals is by taking a tour through the canals of the San San River inside the San San Pond Sak National Park in Bocas del Toro, Panama. This is the most important manatee-watching site in the Central American Caribbean. Additionally, you can spot birds, monkeys, and both two-toed and three-toed sloths on the way to the platform inside the mangrove. Once there, we will wait for the manatees to arrive. While we wait, we can also see birds, raccoons, and monkeys. During this time, we will remain quiet so as not to scare the manatees, allowing us to watch them feed. Afterward, we will head to the beach to learn about the sea turtle conservation project, specifically focusing on the Leatherback turtle; depending on the season, we might even get to release baby turtles. Finally, we will head back to the offices for lunch before returning to the border.
